The team at Superdraft has worked on a variety of homes, including beach houses. Beach houses are often interesting projects, as the location allows us to make use of the surroundings and ocean views to create effective designs. Much planning goes into the orientation of the building, window and exit placement, selection of materials, and general layout. But the results can be some of the most impressive examples of architecture.
Here are some examples of beach houses that we think make for great inspiration.
This project aims to be an “invisible oasis.” The exterior walls are made of local materials, made to mimic the environment of its location. With an infinity pool for a rooftop, this well-concealed home gives homeowners security and privacy while they enjoy panoramic views of the sea. The pool roof also provides insulation and protection from solar radiation and heat.
Casa Once Mujeres by Mathias Klotz
This vacation home stands on a steeply sloped site that allows for splendid views of the beach below. Although the layout is compact, the house has all the amenities required for the homeowner’s family, which includes eleven daughters. The home has ample space for the family’s retreat and for entertaining guests.
Rose Bay Residence by Superdraft
This is just one of Superdraft’s many successful beach house projects. Our team of Sydney architects designed this renovated home to feature elegant finishes, well-placed windows, and a large open-plan area. Great use of space, good air quality, and ample natural light all allow the homeowners to fully appreciate the million-dollar view of the ocean.
