Gold Coast – A City of Entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurship is at the very core of Robina Group. Robina Group’s founder, DrRobin Loh was a textbook definition of an entrepreneur. So naturally, we were very proud to align ourselves with the Business News Australia, Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, held last Friday night at Jupiters Casino. We are pleased to be an ongoing sponsor of these awards which align so closely with our own company values.
The Gold Coast is a city of entrepreneurs. Nowhere else is this young and forward-thinking spirit more evident than the success-story of Robina, which in its short 36 years has become a sought-after, government-backed metropolis. A community bound together by a future vision.
Robina’s founder, Dr Loh was both a philanthropist and a visionary developer, who pioneered a new style of truly liveable community. A community centred on a thriving and modern CBD, which this year reached the milestone of having the largest volume of occupied office space anywhere in the Gold Coast. Robina Group is a company driven by innovation, with the ultimate goal of delivering dreams.
This is achieved in two ways:
The most obvious way is through the delivery of residential homes and next-generation business spaces like The Base and Robina Professional Centre. The second is by building relationships with the innovators of the future. New business and education will shape the future of Robina and the whole of the Gold Coast.
It was a pleasure for Robina Group to present the Young Entrepreneur Award for Property & Construction. The nominees in this category were:
- Mark Deacon and Jake Robinson, Superdraft
- Matthew Grbcic, MG Group
- Michael Kollosche and Jordan Williams, Kollosche Prestige Agents
- Mitchell Lambert and Jesse Willcox, Lambert Willcox Estate Agents
Young Entrepreneur Award for Property & Construction
Congratulations to Mark Deacon and Jake Robinson from Superdraft, pictured above and left who won the Property & Construction category.
Founded in 2011, this architecture and construction firm offers design, drafting, engineering and finance across all property types.
Marketing prowess, including a unique new virtual reality showroom platform, underscored a 241 per cent growth of the business in 2015-16.
“We are ‘uberising’ what we are doing. We are streamlining our services, becoming to the construction industry what Uber is to the transport industry,” says Deacon.
“Now we are targeting many different industries including project home building, retail and product, in addition to development and construction.”
Superdraft completes more than 1000 projects each year throughout Australia, with Deacon and Robinson now setting sights on international markets. The Gold Coast office of Superdraft is located in Gold Coast’s sought-after office growth precinct of Robina / Varsity Lakes.
